My dad bought the boys an owl encounter experience at Thoresby Hall in Nottinghamshire. It was run by Hawks of Steele who have around 15 birds that have either been rescued or bred.
The boys held four different breeds of owls (with very different temperaments and sizes).
The owls also flew from and to their outstretched hand. It was brilliant!

We had a lovely day didn’t we. Auntie Maureen came too and although a bitterly cold day we really enjoyed it. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant / cafe at Thorsby hall and afterwards the chap who gave the demonstration was brilliant including a blt of humour as well as much information about all the owls. We then went back to have hot chocolate and tea and home made cake and scones. All well recommended. A day to remember! Xx
